Yes, it was like a brick wall. The dynamic range of the Flex Radio Systems filters, I mean. At the October VARC meeting, Mike VA3MW demonstrated how the 6000-Series FRS transceivers can dig out a weak signal, bordered by very strong and noisy signals, so that it can be heard. Both notching filters (that follow the frequency) and variable bandwidth filtering were used to demonstrate this feature.
More was discussed, of course, but the presentation was very solid (like a brick…but I’ll stop with that). Well, it should be. Mike said he’s given 19 club talks in recent weeks.
