We were scheduled to have the National Weather Service present their Skywarn training program, but unfortunately due to the storms that hit Mississippi this past weekend, they were unable to come. Our hearts go out to the families who lost loved ones and homes. However, Bill came through with some very informative information on the new Hyper-Reach Community Alerting system being put in place by Warren County and the City of Vicksburg. Those in attendance were able to get assistance in signing up for the free service as well getting questions answered.
Bobby shared his experience with personally meeting Reed Timmer over the weekend and getting a personal and up close look at his Dominator 3 tornado tank. Timmer has been featured on the Weather Channel, National Geographic, and the Discovery Channel just to name a few. He was in Mississippi this past weekend chasing storms over the state.
