One tool to use in EmComm situations where weather events have priority is a list of TV stations where local area weather observations and reports are given. Often, these are on a live-stream basis using storm spotters in the field. We have a list of area television station links listed below. Those in Louisiana, for instance, may provide early-warning intelligence for Mississippi’s pending weather patterns. The earlier that VARC’s EmComm team can get weather and related intelligence, the more effective it can filter through it to pass along the correct information requested by the Jackson-Skywarn program.
